The Children and the school really have become ‘Nature’s Heroes’”. I am sure this will inspire these youngsters to learn and care for the environment which we share with so many fellow living things. The children have created a bug hotel, bat box, butterfly home, a shelter and a pond.įollowing the opening Sheryll commented, “I was really pleased to be at the opening with Sir Richard to see for myself this fantastic environment which the children have created for our native creatures. The Children of the school, having been inspired by their local environment, have been working on the project which has involved creating and studying an array of different habitats in the playground. Local MP Sheryll Murray MP was pleased to join Sir Richard Carew Pole, who is a Deputy Lieutenant for the Duchy, at the official opening of the new wildlife area at Torpoint Nursery and Infant School on Friday.
